800 Gbps Optical Modules

MACOM delivers industry widest portfolio of chip-sets for 800Gbps (8x106Gbps) optical modules. These devices are typically used with VCSEL lasers and Photodectors for optical transmission over multi-mode fiber. Typical reach of these applications is up to 300m for short reach applications. For long reach applications these devices are used with DML, EML, or silicon photonics and support reaches of 2 km and longer. MACOM’s chip-sets support multiple data rates and protocols including 800Gbps Ethernet and 128Gbps Fibre Channel.
