12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI Cable Driver

The M23428 is a high-speed, low-power, low-jitter cable driver. It is designed to drive serial digital video data through 75 Ohm coaxial cable typically used in SMPTE and DVB-ASI video applications. The M23428 cable driver is optimized for performance from 125 Mbps up to 11.88 Gbps. The M23428 features the support of 11.88 Gbps signals for Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV)/4K/8K applications. Output rise/fall times of the M23428 have been designed to exceed the proposed SMPTE standard for 12G and 6G, and supports the MADI audio standard. The output voltage swing is compliant with SMPTE 292M, 259M, 344M and 424M using a 750 Ohm ±1% resistor. The M23428 also features dual outputs with complement signal outputs which can be individually adjusted through internal register settings. In addition, the device also supports software mode through a four-wire, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
