Telcordia Standards
MACOM supports a large portfolio of electronic and lightwave components, lasers, and photodiodes for optical communications in a wide range of applications. These span from long haul core networks to Cloud Data Center to FTTx access, to wireless infrastructure.
MACOM products for use in these applications are qualified to Telcordia GR-468-CORE Issue 2, “Generic Reliability Assurance Requirements for Optoelectronic Devices Used in Telecommunications Equipment”.
MACOM has implemented a comprehensive reliability assurance program in line with the requirements of Telcordia GR-468-CORE.
MACOM Reliability Assurance Program per Figure 1-1 of Telcordia GR-468-CORE
Telcordia GR-468-CORE complements or supplements the criteria on component and system performance or reliability found in several other GRs. These documents include:
- GR-357-CORE, Generic Requirements for Assuring the Reliability of Components Used in Telecommunications Equipment – Component reliability criteria for general types of devices, such as transistors, resistors, diodes, and Integrated Circuits (ICs).
- GR-1221-CORE Generic Reliability Assurance Requirements for Passive Optical Components –Passive optical device reliability criteria
- GR-1252-CORE, Quality System Generic Requirements for Hardware – Quality and reliability programs for hardware systems
- GR-1312-CORE, Generic Requirements for Optical Fiber Amplifiers and Proprietary Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexed Systems – Generic reliability (and functional) requirements for fiber optical amplifiers (and proprietary DWDM systems).
